INTRODUCING NEW FREEDOM

Weekend
Transportation
Citizens in Mansfield and surrounding areas will now be able to take advantage of a new

method of getting to those evening and weekend appoointments, shopping trips, family visits, and other essential duties during times when public transportation isn't available. By calling ahead and reserving a ride time, persons wanting to use this New Freedom can travel locally for less than the cost in a taxicab. Click here for more information.

Ice Cream, Anyone?
Another MBIE community development project is currently in the works in the form of Sweet Treats Down Memory Lane, a new ice cream shop opening soon at 46 West Fourth Street next to the Little Buckeye Museum. The shop will feature plenty of nostalgic soda shop favorites and, as the title suggest, lots of sweet treats!

A Transformation Is About To Begin!
As part of its ongoing committment to community development and neighborhood improvement, MBIE is currently in the process of transforming the large, white building located at the corner of Hedges St. and East Second St. in downtown Mansfield. The Carter Neighborhood Plaza which occupies the building will be completely remodeled to look like the pictures shown below. When it is finished, the plaza will host a wide variety of community oriented services, payment gateways, and activities for youths.

MBIE offers a variety of volunteer opportunities available for those who wish to give back to their community. Whether you are interested in helping out just one time for a few hours, or you want to get involved in a long-term project, we'll find the right fit for you.
